Post Malone released the single “Guy For That” featuring Luke Combs out now via Mercury Records/Republic Records/Universal Music. It heralds the release of his anxiously awaited debut country album, F-1 Trillion, out August 16th.
In the accompanying visual, they take over Downtown Nashville with the two performing atop a flatbed semi-truck as it rolls down Broadway. The two have been teasing the collaboration on social media, generating millions of views. The record notably marks the first collaboration between Post and Combs.
Increasing the excitement around F-1 Trillion, Post recently joined forces with Bud Light for “A Night in Nashville,” delivering an intimate performance of songs from the upcoming LP. The evening boasted an A-list cohort of special guests, including Blake Shelton, HARDY, Joe Nichols, and Sierra Ferrell.
Written by Post Malone (Austin Post), Charlie Handsome, ERNEST (Ernest K. Smith), Hoskins, James McNair, Louis Bell, and Luke Combs, “Guy For That” finds the artists admitting that while they may have a guy for everything, like fixing a rifle or re-binding bibles, they “ain’t got a guy for that” when it comes to emotional and personal issues in a broken relationship.
“I’m pretty good at breakin’ down a heart/ But picking up the pieces is the hard part/ She’s searchin’ for someone who’s gonna build it back/ But I ain’t got a guy for that,” they sing.
Earlier this month, Malone announced dates for his F-1 Trillion Tour, which kicks off Sept. 8 in Salt Lake City and continues through Oct. 19 in Nashville.
