Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa – One Kiss

“One Kiss” is a song by Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris and English singer Dua Lipa. The song was released for digital download and streaming as a standalone single, through Columbia Records and Sony Music on 6 April 2018. It was later included on Dua Lipa: Complete Edition (2018), the super deluxe reissue of Lipa’s eponymous debut studio album.

This uptempo track finds Calvin Harris paying homage to ’90s-style house music. The song features seductive vocals about the power of a kiss by Dua Lipa. Harris has been a fan of the British-Albanian songstress since she released “Be The One” in 2015. “I just want to make dance music again, it seemed like a good opportunity to make a house-sounding record with her,” he said in an interview with Zane Lowe.

“One Kiss” climbed from #3 to #1 in its second week on the UK singles chart, giving Calvin Harris his ninth UK chart-topper. For Dua Lipa, it was her second visit to the summit, following 2017 smash hit “New Rules.”

This won Best Single at the 2019 BRIT Awards. Harris was also named British Producer of the Year at the ceremony.

La numai două săptămâni după lansare, melodia a fost deja pe primul loc în top-ul britanic. În alte 21 de țări a ocupat de asemenea primul loc. În România a ocupat doar locul 3 în topul Airplay 100.

În videoclip apare și Calvin Harris în postura de ospătar. Video a fost nominalizat la MTV Video Music Awards 2018, pentru Best Dance and Song of Summer.
