“Style” is a single by Taylor Swift from her album ‘1989’  from 2014.  “Style” charted #6 in US and #21 in UK.

Taylor wrote the song with Swedish hitmaker Max Martin (Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne), his protégé Johan Shellback and Ali Payami (who co-penned one of Lea Michele’s Louder tracks, “Thousand Needles”).

“Style” was released to radio stations as the album’s third single on February 9, 2015, by Republic Records in partnership with Big Machine. Musically, the song incorporates funk-pop, pop rock and synth-pop, featuring heavy synthesizers, vocal reverberation, and a disco-tinged groove. The lyrics are about an unhealthy relationship from which a couple could not escape, because they are never “out of style”.

The song was first previewed when a portion of it was played during a Target commercial.

Swift applied to trademark the song’s phrase “we never go out of style” along with others from 1989 like “this sick beat” from “Shake It Off.” The trademark means that people are prohibited from using these lyrics on items such as stationery, stickers, removable tattoos, T-shirts and bags in the US.

The dreamy video was shot around Los Angeles by film director and screenwriter Kyle Newman (Fanboys, The Hollow). The clip finds Swift reflecting on a romance – her boyfriend is played by English actor and model Dominic Sherwood, whom you might recognize from his role as Christian Ozera in the movie Vampire Academy. Swift contacted him by text message roughly a month before the shooting; the two had known of each other through mutual friends. By the time they worked on the video, Sherwood had finished the film Take Down, which was later renamed Billionaire Ransom (released in 2016).

On December 2, she performed the song along with “Blank Space” at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2014 in London.
