Bobby Osborne (of The Osborne Brothers) is born in Leslie County, Kentucky. With younger sibling Sonny, The Osborne Brothers become a major bluegrass duo, joining the Grand Ole Opry in 1964 and developing their signature song “Rocky Top”. Died June 27, 2023 in Gallatin, TN.

Louis Prima, songwriter, bandleader, and trumpeter, is born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He writes the standard “Sunday Kind Of Love,” which becomes a country hit for Reba McEntire in 1988. Died August 24, 1978.
