American musician Chris Hillman is born in Los Angeles. A founder of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers, he also starts The Desert Rose Band. Lacing breezy harmonies and driving tempos, the group builds a string of hits from 1987-1990 but disbands in 1994.

American musician, singer, and songwriter Dennis Wilson who co-founded The Beach Boys. He is best remembered as their drummer and as the middle brother of bandmates Brian and Carl Wilson. Wilson drowned while swimming from his boat moored in Marina Del Rey, California on 28th December 1983 after a heavy day’s drinking.
