Released on his 1987 album Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D’Arby, it was an international success, reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart in early 1988 and number four on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Next to “Wishing Well,” this was the biggest hit for Terence Trent d’Arby, who changed his name to Sananda Maitreya in 2001.
